This page includes information on the number of Claims submitted for each Class.

Removed Child Class and Removed Child Family Class

On March 10, 2025, the Claims Period opened for the Removed Child Class and the Removed Child Family Class.

Complete Claims from Removed Child Class Members will be processed within 6 to 12 months of being received. Depending on specific circumstances of each Claim (for example if there is missing information or if eligibility cannot be confirmed), some Claims may take longer to process.

Claims from Removed Child Family Class Members will be reviewed after their Ultimate Claims Deadline, which is March 10, 2029 – four years from when the Claims Period opened. If the Class Member was a minor on March 10, 2025, their Ultimate Claims Deadline is four years from when they reached the Age of Majority. This timeline is required to ensure that any competing Claims for the same associated Removed Child can be addressed after all potential Caregiving Parents or Caregiving Grandparents have had a chance to submit a Claim.

Claim Forms with missing or incorrect information may result in delays in processing. Claim Forms submitted by representatives may take longer to process depending on the type of representation.
